The Obituary of Donald K. Conklin 28 March 1908 - September 1982 From an unidentified newspaper. East Bloomfield - Donald K. Conklin, age 74, of 29 Michigan St. passed away at Thompson Memorial Hospital in Canandaigua, Thursday morning, after a long illness. Survived by his wife, Doris Kingsley Conklin of E. Bloomfield; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Marilyn Conklin of Holcomb; 6 grandchildren; 2 aunts; several nieces and nephews. Donald was born in E. Bloomfield and was a member of the East Bloomfield Congregational Church. He was employed for about 40 years at the Robert Marshall Auto Mechanics Garage, East Bloomfield. He was a life member of the East Bloomfield-Holcomb Fire Dept. Friends are welcome to call at the John W. Carney Funeral Home, 2 South Ave., E. Bloomfield, Friday 2-4, 7-9. Funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday at 2 p.m., with Rev. Douglas Sutphin of the East Bloomfield Congregational Church officiating. Interment in Miller Corners Cemetery, Ionia, NY. Donations may be made to the East Bloomfield-Holcomb Ambulance Fund or the Cancer Fund in his memory. |

Bloomfield - Beloved mother & grandmother, age 89, died Saturday, November 4, 2000 at her home. She is survived by her son, Fred (Marilyn) Conklin of Bloomfield; her grandchildren, Jeffery Conklin of Canandaigua, Sue (Jim) Jones of Victor, David (Amy) Conklin, Thomas (Patti) Conklin and Edward (Patty) Conklin all of Bloomfield, Joan Conklin of Fishers; and six great-grandchildren. There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Kennedy & Son Funeral Home, 2 South Ave., Bloomfield. Interment will be in Millers Corners Cemetery, Ionia. Contributions in Mrs. Conklin’s memory may be made to the E. Bloomfield / Holcomb Emergency Squad or to the Ontario-Yates Hospice. |
