50th Wedding Anniversary of George and Myrtle Perkins From the Mt. Morris Enterprise, 30 November 1955 Mr. and Mrs George Perkins of Avon observed their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 19. They have five daughters: Mrs. George Reeves of Mendon, Mrs. Norman Ford and Mrs. Helen Miller of Avon, Mrs. Grace Bradt of Hornell and Mrs. Aleene Dalton of Rochester; 11 grandchildren and a great grandson. Mr. Perkins has been a member of Avon Lodge No. 455, I.O.O.F. for 42 years and Mrs. Perkins has been a member of Genesee Valley Rebekah Lodge for 34 years. |

The Obituary of George A. Perkins 9 June 1881 - 8 January 1966 From the Democrat and Chronicle, 9 January 1966 Jan. 8, 1966, George A. Perkins of Avon NY. He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Normand (Dorothy) Ford of Avon, Mrs. George (Ruth) Reeves of Mendon, Mrs. Howard (Allene) Dallon of Rochester, Mrs. Charles (Grace) Bradt of Hornell and Mrs. Wallace (Helen) Kohl of Rush; one sister, Mrs. R. H. Thomas of Holcomb; two brothers, Edward H. of Newark and Palmer of Endicott, thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grand-children, several nieces and nephews. The family will appreciate calling hours Sunday and Moneay 2-4 and 7-9 at the Funeral Home of Stephenson and Son, 80 Lacy St., Avon, where services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. Interment Mt. Vernon Evergreen Cemetery, Springwater NY. |
