Canadice - The news on Saturday of the death of Frank H. Ingraham after an illness of about twenty-four hours came as a sad shock to his large circle of friends in and around Canadice where he had spent his entire life.

He was born in Canadice September 21, 1859, the son of Hiram and Amanda Jackman Ingraham.

Mr. Ingraham has always been prominent in town politics and has held the office of superintendent of highways and justice of the peace and was a member of the town board at the time of his death. He was a member of Canadice church for many years and a member of Eagle lodge, F. & A. M., of Honeoye.

Mr. Ingraham was gifted with a most beautiful tenor voice and his singing has brought pleasure to his friends on many occasions. He was a member of the church choir for many years, for the past few years singing especially on funeral occasions. He was also a member of the town glee club for several years.

When a young man Mr. Ingraham married Miss Myta (Millie) McNair of Middlesex, who died shortly after their marriage.

Later he married her sister, Miss Carrie McNair, who passed away in 1895, leaving a daughter, Carrie, now Mrs. Charles Baldwin.

Some time later Mr. Ingraham married Miss Bessie Hayward of Canadice, who survives him with two daughters, Mrs. Charles Baldwin of Harrisburg, Pa., and Mrs. Leon Williams of Rochester, who at present is in California; four grandchildren, Betty and Elsie Baldwin of Harrisburg and Robert and Leon Williams, Jr., of Rochester, and one sister Mrs. Edgar Caskey of Chicago.

The funeral which was largely attended, was held from the home at 1:30 and Canadice Church at 2:30 on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. H. I. Chattin officiating. The bearers were members of the town board, H. E. Hayward, Jay Becker, Dayton Becker, Burdette Hoppough, Leslie Paine and Clyde Beith.

Interment was in Canadice cemetery and was in charge of the Masonic lodge. Among those attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baldwin of Harrisburg, Leon Williams and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Loraine Hayward of Rochester, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hayward, Jr., and Miss Ethelyn Hayward of LeRoy, Guy Baldwin, Herman Baldwin and Mrs. Leon Molge of Geneva and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hayward of Rochester and many from Honeoye, Hemlock and Springwater.
