The Obituary of Harvey M. Dunn

26 January 1851 - 12 October 1928

From the Livonia Gazette, 19 October 1928

Hemlock - Harvey Morley Dunn died last Friday evening. He was the son of Mercy Morley and Hiram Dunn, and was born at East Avon, January 26, 1851.

Mr. Dunn came to Hemlock when about five years old, and with the exception of a few years spent in Wayland and Buffalo, this had always been his home.

He was united in marriage with Miss Alzina Moore of Picton, Canada, on May 29, 1882, at Springwater, NY.

One daughter, Bessie, is the only child, and she and Mrs. Dunn are left to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father. Mr. Dunn was ill for the past eight years and a great sufferer and will be greatly missed by the friends and neighbors and by those who ministered to him.

He was a member of Eagle Lodge No. 619, F. & A. M of Honeoye for 48 years, being the oldest living member until death took him last Friday evening.

The funeral services were held from his late home on Monday at 2:30 p. m., the Rev. G. H. Nelson, pastor of the local M. E. church, officiating, and the Masonic order took charge of the services at the grave.

Burial was in Union cemetery, Livonia.

Her only surviving relative is her daughter, Bessie L., her husband having died 17 years ago.
