The Obituary of George H. Cook I

June 1815 - March 1901

From the Livonia Gazette, 14 March 1901

Hemlock - George H. Cook died at his home in this village at an early hour last week Tuesday morning. He had been confined to the house for seventeen months, and his steady decline in strength for the past few months had been so marked that his death at any time would not have occasioned surprise.

He is survived by Mrs. Cook, a sister and brother, Mrs. Freeman of Florida and A. B. Cook of Clinton county, Mich.

Mr. Cook had been a resident of Hemlock for over fifty years, and was one of the most highly respected of our citizens. He always had a smile and a kind word for everybody. His long illness was borne with a brave and hopeful spirit.
