Marriage of Elmer A. Close and Alma J. Rogers From the Genesee Country Express, 3 August 1933 Hemlock - Miss Alma Josephine Rogers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rogers of Hemlock, and Elmer Arthur Close of Springwater, were married at the home of the bride’s parents Tuesday afternoon, August 1. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. T. French, pastor of the Hemlock M. E. church. After a short motor trip Mr. and Mrs. Close will make their home with the bride’s parents. Prenuptial events for the bride included a variety shower given by Mrs. Donald Rogers, Mrs. Hugh Drain and Mrs. Lee Coykendall.
