Gladys Weed published her “History of Webster Crossing” in 2018. It is a collection of photos and articles about the people, places and incidents in the town of Webster Crossing NY. Gladys was the Postmaster in Webster Crossing starting in 1956.

Chapter 1

The history of Webster Crossing starts with Elijah Webster who came from Conesus in 1845 to build a saw mill.

Chapter 2

The Methodist church came early to Webster Crossing. It was brought from Naples NY and was set at its current location in 1907.

Chapter 3

A school house came to the village and eventually a playground. Here are photos of the homes, school classes and the post office.

Chapter 4

Businesses come to Webster Crossing: the Erie railroad, the Grand View Dairy and the All Western Evergreen Nursery & Christmas Tree Farm.
