Springwater - Charles Perkins, age 91, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 27, 2007 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.
Charles was born June 2, 1915, in Springwater, a son of Erwin and Winifred (Joy) Perkins.
He married June Baker on September 5, 1936; she survives. He was a retired supervisor from the Livingston County Highway Department.
Charles was predeceased by his son Charles “Buster” Perkins, his grandson Eric Guffey and his siblings Audra Spencer, Carl Perkins, Burton Perkins and Paul Perkins.
He was a member of the Webster’s Crossing United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, reading and playing solitaire, but most of all he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, June; his daughters Linda Guffey of Honeoye, Meredith (Joseph) Pikulski of California and Jo Ann Perkins of Springwater; his daughter-in-law, Florence Perkins of Springwater, 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no prior calling. A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 1 at the Webster Crossing United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Webster Crossing - Marian June Perkins, 95, passed away peacefully Wednesday March 7, 2012 at the Vincent House in Wayland.
June was born June 24, 1916 in Rochester, the fifth child and second daughter of Jotham C. and Susan Gertrude Palmer Baker of Webster Crossing. She graduated from Livonia Central School. In her youth she resided in Rochester, Memphis, Livonia and Webster Crossing. Upon her marriage to Charles J. “Chuck” Perkins, they resided in Wayland before settling in Webster Crossing. Chuck and June were married nearly 71 years before his passing in 2007. They were a devoted couple, loving parents and grandparents. June worked out of the home over the years, but considered herself a homemaker and mother.
She was active in the leadership of the Webster Crossing Methodist Christian Women Society and Livingston County Home Bureau; she also spent many years as a 4-H leader and was a founding member of the Springwater Historical Society. She was dedicated and loyal to her family, friends and community.
In addition to her parents and husband, June was also predeceased by her son, Charles R. Perkins; a grandson, Eric Guffey; her brothers, Clark , Harmon and Theo Baker; and her sister, Helen Baker Crossett.
She is survived by her three daughters, Linda J. Perkins Guffey of Honeoye, Meredith J. Perkins Pikulski of California, and Jo Ann Perkins of Springwater; her daughter-in-law, Florence Perkins of Springwater; her sister-in-law, Esther Baker; her grandchildren, Tristian, Andrew and Lyn Guffey; Charles, Jotham and Christopher Perkins, Ryan Pikulski and Laura Sue Perkins; 14 great-grandchildren, with one expected in April; one great-great-grandson; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Webster Crossing Methodist Church, with a luncheon reception to follow.
