From the Lima Recorder, September 1930

Miss Dorothy E. Perkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Perkins of Avon, and Mr. Norman E. Ford, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Ford of Honeoye Falls were married Saturday evening, Sept. 6th, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Solon Shutt in Lima, by Rev. Mr. Manning.

The matron of honor was Miss Marlon Twamley of Avon and the best man was Wesley Ford, brother of the groom. Only the immediate families were present.

After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served after which Mr. and Mrs. Ford left for a short wedding trip. After their return they will reside at Honeoye Falls.

Dorothy Perkins Ford announced the opening of her Insurance Agency in Avon NY in 1951.

Avon - Norman Ford is survived by 2 sons & daughters-in-law ; 2 sisters Hilda Hunt of Honeoye Falls and Mildred Ford of Canandaigua; 2 brothers Charles Ford of Honeoye Falls and Wesley Ford of Naples; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Wednesday 2-4, 7-9 at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, 350 Genesee St. Avon, where a service will be held Thursday al 10 am.

Interment Mt. Vernon Evergreen cemetery.
