Springwater Defeats Scottsburg Team

1921 - 22 Springwater Radio Factory Basketball Team

In a fast game of basket ball Springwater defeated Scottsburg Thursday at Springwater. At the end of the second half the score was tied at 19 all and the game was continued until Springwater finally scored a basket.

Snyder

The right forwards on the Springwater team made 4 baskets and the left forwards made 3 fouls and a basket. Wemett and Avery made 2 baskets and Duffy 2 baskets.

For Scottsburg Thompson made 2 baskets, Allen 3 baskets and a foul, Rieder 3 baskets and Mc Dowell one basket.

There was a preliminary game between the Wayland and Springwater High schools resulting in a victory for the former, the score being 33 to 11.
