The Obituary of Simeon Struble

13 January 1826 - 19 August 1889

From the Livonia Gazette, 23 August 1889.

Canadice - After weeks of poor health and suffering, Mr. Simeon Struble, on Monday last, calmly and peacefully closed his eyes to all earthly scenes and is now remembered with those whose “spirit is returned to God, who gave it.”

Mr. Struble was noted for his integrity and his kind heart, and was always helpful to those in need. He leaves a wife, three sons and two daughters, to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate husband and father.

The funeral was held from his late residence, the Rev. Mr. Brown preaching from Second Corinthians, fifth chapter and first verse. The congregation was large and in full sympathy with the mourners. Truly a good man has fallen.
