Alice A. Doolittle and Walter R. Kingsley I were both born in Canadice NY. They were married on 30 June 1909 and had eight children. Eventually they moved to Victor NY and are both buried there in the Boughton Hill cemetery. Photo courtesy of David Pierce.

The Obituary of Walter R. Kingsley I 1876 - 6 July 1943 From the Livonia Gazette, 22 July 1943. Canadice - Walter Kingsley, youngest son of Addison and Adaline Kingsley, died at his home near Victor on July 6 after a lingering illness, at the age of 67. Mr. Kingsley was born in Canadice, on the Canadice-Springwater town line road, and was much respected by all who knew him. In 1909 he was married to Alice Doolittle of this place. Surviving, besides the widow, are five daughters, Mrs. Florence Keefe of Rochester, and Ruth, Grace, Olive and Marian, all of Rochester; three sons, Ray of Rochester, Rev. Walter R. of Bergen, and Ralph of the U. S. Army; one sister, Mrs. Jennie Doolittle of Naples; one brother, Fred of Honeoye; and two grandchildren. The funeral services were held at the home on Friday, July 9, with the Rev. Travis officiating. Interment was at Boughton Hill cemetery, Victor.

The Obituary of Alice A. Doolittle Kingsley 7 July 1889 - 2 September 1973 From the Victor Herald, 6 September 1973. Mrs. Alice Kingsley, 84, formerly of Dryer Road, Victor, died in St. John’s Home in Rochester, Sunday, September 2, 1974. She leaves five daughters, Mrs. Maurice (Florence) Keefe, of Rochester, Mrs. Orlin (Ruth) Broughton of Castile, Mrs. Stuart (Grace) Pierce, Rochester, Mrs. Norman (Olive) Oehlbeck of Rochester and Marian Kingsley of Koren. She is survived by two sons, Ray of Rush and Ralph of Victor, two sisters, Mrs. Leslie Paine and Mrs. Arthur Spiller, both of Canadice, also 2 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Services were conducted from the Cotton Funeral Home, Maple Avenue on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Burial was in Boughton Hill Cemetery. Friends may donate to the Victor United Methodist Church Memorial fund in her memory.
