The Obituary of Purley M. Fisher

Springwater - Purley M. Fisher, 78, died in the Wayland Hospital Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1952 after a long illness.

He is survived by his wife, Edith, one brother, George of Springwater; four sons, Frances and Kenneth of Springwater, Claude of Buffalo, and Arthur of Atlanta; four daughters, Mrs. Henry Benson, Silver Lake, Mrs. Francis Holmes of Springwater, Mrs. Lee Cox of Rochester and Miss Winifred Fisher of Buffalo; and 17 grandchildren.

He was a member of the Livingston Lodge IOOF, of which he was a post grand, a member of the Springwater Grange, ad was employed by the City of Rochester for many years.

Funeral services were held in the Springwater Methodist Church Friday, Feb., 8th and burial was in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Springwater - Mrs. Edith A. Fisher, Springwater age 86, passed away Monday 17 June 1963 in Dansville Memorial Hospital following a short illness. She was the widow of the late Purley Fisher.

She was born in Prattsburg, NY, the daughter of Frank and Emma French Wilklow.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Eva Benson of Silver Lake; Mrs. Marjorie Cox of California; Mrs. Grace Holmes of Springwater; Miss Winifred Fisher of Buffalo; four sons, Francis and Kenneth Fisher of Springwater, Claude of Buffalo and Arthur of Florida; 15 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Baird Funeral Home, Wayland.

A funeral service will be held today at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Springwater.
