Minnie Fisher in 1910 is the young girl seated in the back seat of an auto next to Sarah Elizabeth Wheaton, Minnie is on the far right of the picture. She had said that it was “the first auto that she had ridden in” and that “it may have been one of the first autos in Springwater”. In the front seat driving is Mr. Oster and next to him is Marguerite Wheaton. The make and year of the auto are unknown. The Fisher and Wemett farms were next to each other in Springwater and sat at the bottom of the Wheaton Hill road and are shown on the Springwater map of 1926. This picture appears to have been taken in front of the Wemett Homestead. Click the image to enlarge.
