From the Ontario County Journal, 18 October 1878

Canadice - Died at his residence in this town, on Tuesday evening, September 24th, Jacob Cratsley, aged 57 years. He leaves a large circle of mourning friends who have the sincere sympathy of all. May they be enabled to trust in Him who doeth all things well.

From the Ontario County Journal, 21 July 1882

Canadice - Mrs. Cratsley, widow of Jacob Cratsley, died on the 14th inst. She had been in feeble health for many years,, and her trouble culminated in disease of the heart. Her funeral was held at the church on Sunday, the Rev. Mr. Jolly officiating.
